1. Local Search Maps.Google.Com
If you do business in your local market, you want to make sure your business shows up in local search results.
For example, go to Google and search for: Gainesville Dance
Near the top of the search results on the left side is a listing of local dance businesses.
To get your business listed here, you need to let Google know where your business is located.
Go to http://maps.google.com
On the left side, click the link to add your business and follow the instructions.
That will get you in the game, at least.

2. Twitter Signup
You probably have heard of Twitter, but you may not be using Twitter yet.
Twitter lets you send messages of 140 characters.
This is not much, but it is enough to post a link.
Twitter is called a micro blogging service and there are plenty of copycats.
You might wonder what good is Twitter? Well people are finding all kinds of uses for it. See this page for some websites.

I do not know what you are going to use Twitter for, but I suggest you get a good account name (while you still can) and start checking it out.
While you are at it, follow Internet Handholding by going to this link and clicking the follow icon.

3. DotNetNuke Store and Survey
DotNetNuke comes with both Store and Survey modules. I installed them on a couple of customers and they look good.
Take a look at the DotNetNuke Survey here. This customer created the survey himself with no help from me.

You can see the DotNetNuke Store here. I set this up for the customer, but it was easy enough for anyone to add products.

Also take a look at here Articles page. She posted these herself. Somehow she figured out how to get the images in there also. Congratulations. You can she is already getting visitors without any other publicity.

4. Aweber Email Marketing List
I have switched my email service to Aweber and like it a lot.
They have a nice wizard for setting up Subscribe Forms. This has a lot of uses, but too technical for this article.
You can set up a series of messages to automatically go to new subscribers. These are called autoresponders.
If you subscribe to this Internet Handholding newsletter, you will automatically receive one short tip every week or so in addition to the newsletter. This is a great way to catch people up who missed earlier newsletters.
Click here to check out Aweber.
Constant Contact is also good, but does not have autoresponders.
